Sale and processing of nonwoven fabric

For 25 years, we have been specialising in the marketing and processing of nonwoven fabric for industrial, professional, health and hygiene and cosmetic use. Our flagship products are rolls and bales of spunlace, which we distribute throughout Europe and worldwide.

EFFE 4 is one of the most important companies in the field of spunlace nonwoven fabric recycling in Europe. The founder of the company, Giuseppe Finardi, worked for years in the household items sector before fully entering the world of nonwovens in 1993.

Together with his two eldest sons, Dario and Ivan, he purchased an entire finishing department from a manufacturer of needlepunched nonwovens, for which he began working as a contractor: EFFE 4 carried out all the stages following production of the nonwoven fabric such as stamping, rewinding, cutting, packaging and shipping.
1993
1997
In 1997, the company moved to its current headquarters of 3500 square metres, located 4 km from the A4 motorway.
Seven years later, EFFE 4 began taking its first steps towards complete autonomy, transforming seconds, offcuts of spunlace, surplus and unsold batches.
New products for the manufacture of spunlace mops are launched on the market; by winding spunlace trimmings onto spools, transportation costs and the space required for product storage were drastically reduced. The result is the rapid spread of Effe 4’s twisted spunlace and plissé spunlace throughout Europe
2004
2016
The growth and expansion of spunlace products for mop manufacturing continues, and twisted spunlace and plissé spunlace begin to be shipped to North and South America
Project to expand the facility to 7500sqm. At the same time, EFFE 4 enters the world of nonwoven spunbond and begins marketing and processing new types of materials such as spunbond, thermobond, meltblown, SMS, and laminates.

30 Years in Business
Today, EFFE 4 is run by Giuseppe's four children: Dario, Ivan, Roberta and Marco. EFFE 4, through close working relationships with leading spunlace manufacturers, purchases overproduction, second-grade stock, scraps and trimmings. There are several reasons why spunlace can be downgraded: imperfect fibre distribution, weights that are too low or too high, incorrect sizes or imperfect cutting.
With over 30 years of experience in nonwoven fabric processing, we are able to rewind the material into rolls of the sizes requested by our customers, and we sell second-grade materials that are often indistinguishable from first-grade ones. Our customers can find what they are looking for quickly because we always have large quantities of material available.
Clean energy for our future. We chose to invest in the sun by installing a 110 kW photovoltaic system. Thanks to this initiative, much of our energy needs will be met by renewable sources. This is a concrete step toward protecting the planet and offering our customers products and services that are the result of an increasingly sustainable production process.

CONVERTING OF
NONWOVEN FABRICS
EFFE 4 also offers contract rewinding for companies which require these services. The company is capable of producing rolls from 25 mm to 2500 mm.
Furthermore, thanks to the regular supply of trimmings, EFFE 4 sells materials for the production of mops.
  • Sale of nonwoven fabrics
EFFE 4 is also the only company to treat all materials destined for mop production to a drying process; this guarantees a quality product with a constant and very low level of humidity.
We can confidently claim to be the European leader in this sector.

OVER 25 COUNTRIES
WORLDWIDE
EFFE 4 distributes its products, which are used principally in the hygiene, industrial, and cosmetic sectors, in over 25 countries worldwide. Companies which use nonwovens begin by studying the product to be manufactured, and then look for the product best suited for the objective in question. Our strategy is to begin with the materials that are available on the market in large quantities at low prices, and then look for the best possible application.
